| | Small Cricket Windchimes (Indonesia) Ceremony is an important part of the Balinese people. From the frequent family rituals carried out in small home temples, to the larger, more elaborate ceremonies performed during the different seasons, every detail of the festive event is attended to. During the rituals, offerings are made to the gods in the form of rice, saffron, incense and other small trinkets on palm leaf trays. In one small Balinese village co-op, artisans were inspired to incorporate the hand-woven palm leaf crickets their families used as offerings, into the creation of these whimsical, melodious wind chimes.
